O Great God, Loving Father, and Creator of all
Before Your glorious feet, we humbly fall
Laying our hearts, our intentions, and bearing our souls
Praying that our ears may twitch at the sound of Your call.
We bring before you our every endeavor
Seeking Your guiding hand, not just Your favor
Let our hearts be so immersed in that of our Maker
That our makings will reflect the beauty and love of our Savior.
May Your Spirit remind us with every passing day
That you are the Potter, and we’re the clay
Mold us in the form that You alone desire
Then bake us in Your life-giving, refining fire.
Grant that limelight’s allure will not steal your shine
That we may forsake our acclaim for the cause of Christ
Rob our glory in self, crush these our modern iDols
Burn the weeds of our pride, and from the fallow, spark revival.
Teach us to master our tools with passionate skill so exact
Yet trust that while we craft and conjure, you, our Soul’s Captain, will conduct
